Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using RentThisApp ("the service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Service description
RentThisApp is a software-as-a-service platform for equipment rental and service businesses. Features include dispatch, asset and customer management, quoting, invoicing, and payment processing.
3. Account responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials secure, and accept responsibility for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@rentthisapp.com of any unauthorized access.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use the service to engage in illegal activity, abuse customers or drivers, transmit malware, attempt to disrupt the service or its security, scrape or reverse-engineer the platform, or resell or rebrand the service without our written permission.
5. Subscription and billing
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly basis through Stripe. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. Pricing and features are described in your subscription confirmation and may be updated with notice.
6. Cancellation and refunds
- Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. Access continues through the end of the current paid billing period.
- We do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods.
- Refunds may be issued for documented billing errors if reported within 30 days of the disputed charge.
- We may make exceptions in our discretion. Exceptions are not precedents.
- Payment-processing fees, taxes, and third-party charges may be non-refundable where applicable.
- If annual subscriptions are offered in the future, they will be subject to a separate refund policy stated at the time of purchase.
7. Intellectual property
We retain all rights in the RentThisApp platform, including software, design, copy, and brand. You retain ownership of the business data you enter. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display your data solely to provide and improve the service.
8. Tenant data
We process the business data you enter in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the lawfulness of the data you collect from your customers and for providing any notices or obtaining any consents required by law.
9. Third-party services
The service depends on Stripe (payments), Twilio (SMS), Resend (email), Supabase (database), Sentry (error tracking), and Vercel (hosting). Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms. We are not responsible for outages, errors, or charges originating from third-party services.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that defects will be corrected.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RentThisApp's total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount of fees you paid to us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RentThisApp and its affiliates against claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your use of the service in violation of these terms or applicable law.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the date of the most recent change. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
